How to counter Cloyster in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Cloyster’s amazing defense means you will need to face it with aspecial attacker. It is surprisingly fast and can deal a good amount of damage, especially with its Skill Link ability. Cloyster also learns a good variety of coverage moves, making it even more difficult to deal with.
We recommend a strong special attacker that is Electric or Fighting-type. We recommendLucario,Jolteon, orEelektross. Lucario and Jolteon can outspeed Cloyster and take it out quickly, though they do need to be careful of Drill Run if it survives. Eelektross isn’t faster than Cloyster, but its levitate ability makes it immune to Ground-type attacks.
