In the art and setting in particular, Academagia wears its Potter influences on its baggy sleeves.Enroll at a wizarding school, take classes, and explore the grounds. What could be more Harry Potter? It is alsolargely text-basedrather than action-packed, which will be a nice change of pace before Hogwarts Legacy.

If you want to try being the finished Hogwarts product and enteringfierce magical battles, Spellbreak could be the game for you. In this gorgeous anime battle game, you play as a battlemage trying to reclaim magic in your land. Discover new abilities and create new combos as you battle to save the Hollow Lands.
5. Spellcaster University
Seeing as you’re about to become a student at a magical university, perhaps a good way to prep for the experience is to run one! At Spellcaster University, you operate a school. Players take charge of a magic school by making classrooms, training students, researching artifacts, and of course, battling marauding creatures as you attempt to complete tasks.
4. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Geralt of Rivia couldn’t be much further from our wide-eyed and innocent little Harry on his first day at Hogwarts, but the Potterverse quickly turns dark. So, Harry finally becoming a hardened monster hunter isn’t much of a stretch. It’s an excellent fantasy action RPG with a strong story too, and loads ofquests, so good prep in terms of honing your combat skills.

3. LEGO Harry Potter
While there were some pretty average movie tie-in games, the LEGO Harry Potter series was the only one that really did the series justice. You’re never too old for LEGO, and the same goes for these games. Sure, they’re a little small, but they’reso much fun. They’re also a great way toexplore Hogwartsin cartoon style while waiting for Legacy to arrive.

While Fable may be showing its age a little, the 2014 Anniversary Edition proved thata great storyand a few unique ideas are all you really need to keep an RPG alive. Start out byschooling at the Heroes’ Guild, learning spells and combat, before setting off on an adventure that will force you to choose between good and evil. Sound familiar?
