In atrailer released today, Guardians are taken to the hidden city of Neomuna on Neptune. Rather than be derelict or ruined like virtually every other environment in Destiny 2, Neomuna is a vibrant and thriving city full of towering skyscrapers and denizens. With just under two minutes of footage, there’s a lot to take in.
Bungie shows off Neomuna in a new environment trailer for Destiny 2 Lightfall
Just as Guardians are arriving at this lush world filled with undersea motifs, so too has the rebuilt Calus. Now a thrall of the Witness, Calus is intent on destroying the city. It falls to the Guardians to team up with the Cloud Striders to not only hold the line but push back the forces of the Darkness. However, it’s not just Calus and the forces of the Darkness that have arrived. The Vex have appeared as well.

The trailers show the stunning visuals of the city’s many different parts. There’s quite a variety, from neon-lit city centers to meditative arboreal delights and Darkness ruins to Vex infestations. But Guardians shouldn’t be distracted by the sights as plenty of villains are keen to snuff out their Light.
Aside from the Cabal and Vex, Guardians will need to contend with a new enemy type: the Tormentors. These behemoths wield glaives and, from the trailer, look like they can knock the Light right out of a Guardian. Thankfully, the newStrand subclassallows Light-bearers to swing through Neomuna like Spider-Man. There’s plenty to look forward to, and Lightfall can’t come soon enough.
