TheSanta Monica StudioTwitter states, “Photo Mode will be coming to God of War Ragnarök after launch - we’ll share more details closer to when we plan to release it.” So while you won’t be able to pause the action to take photos at launch, photo mode will come after release, allowing you to explore your artistic side.

In some ways, it works out that photo mode is released post-launch, as this allows you to enjoy the game and story first. You can then go back and take photos in areas you enjoyed and not worry about stopping to take photos.
