During the event, you can participate in a plethora of activities to get amazing rewards, including a new mini-game called Paper Theater.
How to unlock Paper Theater in the Genshin Impact The Exquisite Night Chimes event
You must first complete the first Festival Anecdote calledA Thousand Miles for an Enigmatic Tune, which will unlock all Lantern Rite activities. Then open the event menu, clickEvent Details, selectPaper Theater, and initiate the quest calledA Few Words in the Foreground. This will take you to the northern wharf, where you’ll get an introduction to Paper Theater and can begin playing through various scenes.
How does Paper Theater work in Genshin Impact
Upon starting a Scene, theobjectivewill appear at the top of the screen. In the example above, it’s “Enter the room.” You then need to modify the three segments at the bottom to create the required scenes, ensuring that the character doesn’t touch the obstacle (glowing red).
Clickingon a segmentpausesit, so you can wait until the character faces a specific direction before modifying the placement.
You need toclick and draga segment to another position to exchange their placements. In the example above, segments one and two will switch positions. Your goal is to complete the scene’s objective.

How to complete Paper Theater Homecoming Scenes in Genshin Impact

Homecoming: Scene I
While the character isfacing right, switch the positions ofsegments one and twoso that the vase is behind the character. This will give the character an obstacle-free path toward the door, completing the scene.
Homecoming: Scene II
For this scene, the character’s movement direction is very important, so act fast! If you make a mistake, you can restart the performance using the button on the bottom right of the screen.
While the character isfacing right, switch the positions ofsegments one and twoso that the trap is behind the character.
Wait until the characterstarts facing left. When this happens, immediately switch the positions ofsegments two and three. This will allow the character to enter the door while walking west, avoiding the trap in the first segment.
Homecoming: Scene III
The first segment is locked at the start of the scene, so you need to switch the positions ofsegments two and three. Yubing (the female character) should be on the very right side of the screen.
Wait until the character is on thesecond segmentandturns left. Once this happens, immediately switchsegments two and three. This will create a path for the character to directly meet with Yubing without obstacles.
