The quest and map are first gained at the end of ahouse-specific quest, where you meet theGhost of Richard Jackdaw. We found ours while playing Slytherin house inside a cave behind the squid door that Scrope asks you to go to. After speaking with Jackdaw, open the nearby chest to receive the Map with Floating Candles. Regardless of what house you are in, the map and instructions will remain the same.

How to make the floating candles appear for Ghost of Our Love in Hogwarts Legacy
Make your way to the entrance of the Forbidden Forest. The map depicts theLumos spell symbol,floating candles, and astone bridge. Go to the stone bridge that leads from Hogwarts to the Forbidden Forest. On the endcap nearest the forest, you will find a love letter. Read the letter and cast Lumos to make the floating candles appear.
Followthecandlesand keep theLumosspell up. They can move quickly, so keep your eyes on them and don’t let them escape your view. Eventually, the floating candles will take you to a small clearing with a table set for two. The candles will reach the clearing, and you can claim your reward, aTreasure-Seeker’s Scarf.

After first viewing the Map with Floating Candles in Hogwarts Legacy, you’re able to check it again. Open yourInventoryfrom the Main Menu. SelectQuest Items, and find the Map with Floating Candles. Use the View button to look at the map once more.
