Last night, in a r/HarryPotterGame Reddit thread started by user u/signficant_spot_855, the original poster claimed that he had procured a physical copy of Hogwarts Legacy early. The user also claimed they did not intend to spoil too much but would be answering questions and giving his first impressions as they played. Purported screenshots of the game were posted in that thread, as well. At some point, this morning, that thread and the original poster’s profile were deleted.

However, Reddit has a long memory, and other posts have appeared discussing the deleted thread. It seems that Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment submitted a copyright claim to have the original post removed, and the user deleted his profile as a precaution. In thissubsequent Reddit postdiscussing the thread, a Moderator wrote that he had been contacted by what appears to be an alternate account for u/signficant_spot_855. That alternate account passed on this message: “I’m alive and well, I’ll be released from Azkaban in 7 days!”
