Darktide Corruption System, Explained - Warhammer 40k

The Corruption System is a system to incentivizeplaying smart andworking with teammatesto avoid getting down by enemies. In short, every time you get knocked down, a purple Corruption bar will start to fill up, which prevents your character from being fully healed. you’re able to also gain Corruption by picking up Grimoires that add a small amount of Corruption. The Corruption gained from Grimoires also spreads across your entire party, thus making communication important. We recommend letting teammates know when you want to pick one up so that you can work together to overcome a25 percent health reductionfrom picking up the Grimoire. Several enemies will also cause characters to gain Corruption, so we also recommend working with teammates to take these enemies down fast.
