Pokémon Scarlet & Violet is the first open-world main line game in the franchise. It has three storylines:Victory Road,Path of Legends, andStarfall Street. Being presented with all three options in the beginning, can seem overwhelming. You might have trouble deciding which quest to tackle first. One factor you may take into account when choosing your path is each story’s playtime.
What are each of the stories’ lengths in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?
Starfall Street and Path of Legends roughly take the same time to complete, which is aroundtwo to three hourseach. Victory Road, which consists of defeating eight gym leaders and the Elite Four, takes much longer to complete. Without rematches, it might takefive to six hours.
However, you can’t stick with just one storyline from start to finish in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. This is because the further you go in each story, the harder the opponents become. To avoid beingunderleveledat any point of the game, we recommend you rotate between the three. The upgrades you get when you progress throughPath of Legendsare especially important for traversing the other regions. The level gaps between gyms are also quite large the further you go up the ladder.
What is Pokémon Scarlet & Violet’s total playtime?
The main story can be completed in anywhere between 30 to 40 hours. While the three storylines don’t take up a ton of time to complete, exploring Paldea will. There are huge areas you need to traverse to reach each destination. Not to mention that you may need to grind a few levels if you’re the type to rotate your team often.
