EVs or effort points are hidden values your Pokémon’s stats gain when it defeats other species. For example, if you defeated aMurkrow, the Pokémon that dealt the final blow would gain +1 Speed EV. Every four EVs is an additional point toward a stat. Since each Pokémon can only have amaximum of 252 EVs, you must carefully manage its distribution. Where can I see my Pokémon’s EVs in Scarlet & Violet?
You can check your Pokémon’s EVs as soon as the beginning of the game. Here’s how:
Thedarker yellowshape is your EV distribution. The larger, more faded yellow is your Pokémon’s base stats (or the numbers you see on the Moves & Stats tab).
If you want to know whether your Pokémon can still gain more EVs, head toLevincia(where Iono’s gym is) and search for anNPC with a Luxiowith her. She’ll tell you if your Pokémon can give “more effort” or not.

How to reset EVs in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
If you’ve messed up EV distribution along the way, don’t worry. You can reset the distributions of EVs for each stat. You just need to use one of six specific types of berries on your Pokémon:
