Which Pokémon should you release in Pokémon GO?
Choosing which Pokémon to get rid of can be a difficult choice. A great way to decide who should stay and who should go is tosort your Pokémon by their IV, which is essentially their potential to grow to their maximum CP. This can be done by typing0*,1*,2*,3*, and4*into the search bar in your inventory. The best Pokémon to get rid of are ones with low IV (0*, 1**, and 2*), while higher IVs (3* and 4*) are better to keep.
Another metric that can be used to thin out your inventory is todeletePokémon that you haveduplicatesof. Sorting your inventory by Pokédex number is a great way to determine which Pokémon aren’t needed. Players don’t generally need to keep more than one of any given Pokémon unless it is a competitively good monster.
Sorting by CPand transferring all Pokémon below a certain level is also a great way to thin out the herd. Lower CP Pokémon will take more Candy and Stardust to power up to maximum, so if it is a relatively common Pokémon in question, it is probably better to transfer it and hunt for a higher CP monster.
