The firstmajor updateto the early access version of Disney Dreamlight Valley brought some seriously spooky vibes to the valley. With new villains and explorable areas, there’s a lot to unpack for this new content. The most confusing addition, however, seems to be some of the new Halloween-themed challenges found in theVillagetab for Dreamlight goals. Here’s how you can complete the new Stockpiling Pumpkins challenge.

What is the Dreamlight Valley Stockpiling Pumpkins challenge?

Like all new Halloween-themed goals, there’s no descriptor for what needs to happen to accomplish the task. The 0/100 meter indicates that you’ll need to possess at least 100 pumpkins, but it doesn’t specify if this is through purchasing, growing, or something else.

It turns out that this task requires both growing and harvesting a total of 100 pumpkins. You’ll need to unlock Goofy’s Stall in theForgotten Landsto buy pumpkin seeds. They usually cost 275 coins per seed pack, so if you want to get all of the pumpkins knocked out at once, you’ll need at least 27,500 coins ready to go. Bringing a friend who loves to garden can help maximize the profit from your pumpkins and offer a massive boost to friendship. Still, it is unclear if doubled harvest amounts from hanging out with a gardening-oriented villager will count toward the goal of 100 pumpkins.

Pumpkins take four hours to grow, so we recommend mass gardening. The spot of land in front of the pumpkin house and Goofy’s Stall in the Forgotten Lands can easily fit just over half of the required crops, making this challenge significantly easier. Remember that you’ll likely need to check in for a few waterings during the growth stage unless you get lucky with some consistently rainy weather.
