Hassel’s Elite Four team comprises of five Dragon Type Pokémon. Much likeLarry’s Elite Four battle, Hassel’s team is built around offense and hits hard. Noivernis very frail but it has a high Special Attack and Speed stat, making it able to move first to deal a lot of damage. Priority moves like Ice Shard will deal a lot of damage to it, and in the right circumstances, might be enough to take it out entirely. Its Super Fang will ignore defenses and always halve the target’s HP and its Dragon Pulse can deal a lot of damage to anything that doesn’t resist Dragon.
Haxorusis one of the bigger threats but has lower Special Defense than Defense. It has all Physical moves, making Kingambit a strong counter to it as it resists all of its moves.Dragalgehas poor Defense as well, making most Pokémon with a high Attack stat preferable for taking it out. It has all Special moves, making high Special Defense Pokémon like Bronzong or Espeon good options for taking it out. Both Pokémon can learn Psyshock as well, dealing damage to Dragalge’s Defense.
Flappleis the weakest of Hassel’s team and is pretty frail. With a four times weakness to Ice, an Ice Shard can be enough to take it out. Kingambit works extremely well as a counter for Flapple, however the same can’t be said forBaxcalibur. Tinkaton does well against Baxcalibur as Baxcalibur will always Terastalize on the first turn. Fairy Types are the biggest counter to Baxcalibur and it will only be able to hit them with Icicle Crash for damage.
