Figuring out each vault’s specific puzzle will earn you a piece of gear, but it can be frustrating to find yourself stuck with no clue on how to solve a puzzle. Here’s how you can crack open treasure vaults that are locked by cubes that feature a feather engraving.

If you come across a vault that has a sealed door and a circle on the ground in front of it, chances are that it’s a cube puzzle. These puzzles are solved by castingAccioorWingardium Leviosaon a nearby cube, dragging it onto the circle, and casting the spell that is needed to activate the cube. If you can’t see any cubes laying around nearby, castRevelioand it should reveal itself. Sometimes the cubes can be a little ways away down a hill or hidden behind obstacles, so you might need to carry the cube a bit of a distance to bring it to the circle.

You can tell which activation spell is required by looking at the symbol engraved on the cube. The three most common spells needed are eitherConfringo,Glacius, orLevioso. The fire and ice spells are represented by either a flame or snowflake, andLeviosois represented by a feather. The feather on the cube is the same icon that representsLeviosoin your spell tool kit. Cast the floating spell on the cube and the vault doors will open, revealing the treasure that waits inside.
