Dragon-type Pokémon can look like anything nowadays, and most of them can be found in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. Included among these are one of the most interesting dragon-type evolutionary lines: Applin, Flapple, and Appletun. If their names didn’t give it away, they are each designed after apples.

Appletun is the first evolution in the line, and to evolve them into either Flapple or Appletun, you’re going to have to do a little bit of work. Unlike most Pokémon, you may’t evolve them by simply training and leveling them up. So, if you have an Applin, and you’ve been working at evolving them into a Flapple without any luck, then keep on reading!

This shouldn’t be confused with theSweet Appleas this is used toevolve Applin into Appletun. You can find either of these items at any Delibird Presents location for 2,200 Pokédollars each. All you need to do isuse the Tart Apple on Applinand watch as the evolutionary cutscene unfolds.

After this, you’ll have Flapple in your inventory as well as added to your Paldean Pokédex. This cannot be changed and is different across every Pokémon you catch.
