Pokémon Scarlet and Violet has a new pepper Pokémon named Capsakid. While the scorching Fire-Type is pretty easy to find in the Paldea Region, you will need to use a special method in order to trigger its evolution into Scovillain.
Where to find Capsakid in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
After completing the introduction tutorial, the newGen 9 Scarlet and Violet Pokémoncan be found through the Mesagoza West exit.Capsakid spawnsinWest Province (Area One),West Province (Area Two), and theAsado Desert. The quickest way to find Capsakid in the game, though, is to head on over to West Province (Area One), as it’s only a short distance from Paldea University. The new Pokémon spawns in at around level 15, so you will be able to catch it fairly early into the game without much of a fuss. Now that you have added Capsakid to your team, you can evolve it into Scovillain with the method listed below.

How to evolve Capsakid into Scovillain in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
Thankfully, you will not have to worry about the Fire-Type reaching a certain level, asCapsakid evolvesintoScovillainusing aFire Stone. Press the X Button to pull up the menu and click Bag. Once there, move your cursor over to Other Items and select a Fire Stone. Finally, give the item to Capsakid to trigger its evolution into Scovillain. If you are still early in the game, you will have to first track down a Fire Stone, which can be obtained in a handful of ways.
Where to find a Fire Stone in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, evolution stones appear in different sections of the map. TheFire StoneitemspawnsinEast Province (Area Three), near the large dirt construction site. Once there, you will need to run around the area and look for gold sparkles on the ground. Pick them up, until a Fire Stone is eventually spawned in. If you have the Zapapico Village fast travel point, you’re able to also run around the dirt sections there for a chance to find a Fire Stone. Compared to previous games, the evolution items are pretty abundant, so if you don’t find one, re-load into the area and keep picking up golden sparkles off the ground.

AFire Stonecan also bepurchasedat theDelibird Presents shopsinMesagoza City,Cascarrafa City, andLevincia Cityfor3,000 Pokédollars. However, the evolution stones will not be in stock at the beginning of the game. You have to first progress through the Victory Road story campaign, and beat three Gyms before the store will start selling the coveted evolution stones. Because of this, the quickest way to evolve Scovillain is to find a Fire Stone in the overworld map in East Province.
