Each round has a random boss, meaning you could face a different challenge each time. Throughout a round, random cargo boxes drop, giving you bonuses for your run. Strategies for Cargo Run in Moonbreaker – Tips and Tricks
The main thing you want to do in Cargo Run isplayitsafe. This roguelike mode gives you a pool of units and a captain, depending on which one you choose. Your units carry over to the next stage, including damage and losing any that fell in battle. As such, you want to play careful and keep your crew in good health and alive.

Throughout a Cargo Run match, smallcrateswill drop. You want to prioritizecollectingthese by having your units get in melee contact with them. The best strategy is to drop your unit besides a crate when summoning them to avoid wasting a turn. These providebonuseslike increased damage, extra Cinder, free units, and more. We recommend using any cargo that buffs on your captain, as these bonuses carry over, and you can typically solo the boss by round five with your captain.
A way tocheeseCargo Run is to useZax Jak’ar. The AI typically prioritizes attacking hisminesrather than your units. This isn’t guaranteed, but it can be helpful when trying to gain experience and grind your season track. That being said, still, play cautiously and avoid placing the AI in an instance where it can only attack your crew. Sacrificing mines is a great way to keep your army strong. His Gravity Disc is also great for collecting cargo.

Cargo Run rewards in Moonbreaker
The only reward you receive from Cargo Run isthe experiencetoward yourseason track. Cargo Run formerly gave Blanks as a reward, but thechangeto this mode removed that reward and gated it behind Cargo Run Contracts. With Moonbreaker in early access, we may see future changes to this as well.
