While exploring Apam Woods, you might encounter strange runes beside dull mushrooms. By reviving the mushrooms with Dendro, you’ll light up the runes and solve a puzzle that will reward you with a Luxurious Chest. The puzzle is easy, but due to Apam Woods' topography, finding the runes can be a bit of a headache.
Where to find all runes in Apam Woods in Genshin Impact
The Luxurious Chest puzzle involves finding and lighting up allseven runesin Apam Woods. You can find them in the areas circled in the image above. Keep your eyes peeled as they’re quite hard to spot, but they’re always located beside Poison Cloud Mushrooms. You can light up the runes inany order—the numbers will help serve as a reference against the full route walkthrough below.
Once you spot a rune,apply Dendro to the Poison Cloud Mushroomin front of it. This will revive the mushroom, which will actively use a Dendro AoE skill that will light up the rune.

How to solve the Apam Woods rune puzzle in Genshin Impact - full route walkthrough
This route is completely optional—you’re able to explore on your own using the map above if you prefer. You can also light up the runes in any order.
Rune #1
Head to the Teleport Waypointnorthwest of Apam Woods(pictured above), then turn left and glide toward the Clusterleaf of Cultivation beside a small hut.Apply Dendroto summon Four-Leaf Sigils, then follow the path until you reach the platform circled in the image above.
You’ll find a Bouncy Mushroom to the left of the well-lit house. Jump on theBouncy Mushroomand follow the path of theFour-Leaf Sigils. They will lead you to a platform with the first rune. Apply Dendro onto the Poison Cloud Mushroom to revive it and light up the rune.
Rune #2
Return to the Teleport Waypointnorthwest of Apam Woods(same as Rune #1) and turn right to find a Bouncy Mushroom beside the Clusterleaf of Cultivation.Apply Electro onto the Bouncy Mushroom, then jump on it to reach another platform with an Auspicious Branch and another Clusterleaf of Cultivation.
Summon Dendrograna, thenapply Dendroonto the Clusterleaf of Cultivation to spawn Four-Leaf Sigils. Follow the path of the Sigils to reach the platform the arrow is pointing to in the image above.
While the Dendrograna is still active,destroy the Dendro Rock with a Charged Attack. It will reveal a Remarkable Chest and a Poison Cloud Mushroom. Apply Dendro onto the Poison Cloud Mushroom to revive it and light up the rune.
Rune #3
Return to the Teleport Waypointnorthwest of Apam Woods(same as Runes #1 and #2) andapply Dendroto the Clusterleaf of Cultivation directly in front of the Teleport Waypoint. Then follow the path of the Four-Leaf Sigils to head to the platform the arrow is pointing to in the image above.
You’ll find yourself on a platform filled with glowing flowers. You need to keep glidingtoward the big trunkthe arrow is pointing to above, thenturn right and glide downwardto find another platform—this time with the third rune. Apply Dendro onto the Poison Cloud Mushroom to revive it and light up the rune.

Rune #4
Head to the Teleport Waypointsoutheast of Apam Woods(pictured above) and face the Bouncy Mushroom.Glide from the edgeand circle around the trunk until you see two platforms on your right. You must glide toward thetop platform.
You’ll spot the rune on the platform. Apply Dendro onto the Poison Cloud Mushroom to revive it and light up the rune.
Rune #5
In front of Rune #4, apply Dendro to the Clusterleaf of Cultivation so that it spawns Four-Leaf Sigils. Follow the pathfacing right, then connect with the Four-Leaf Sigils to head to the platformupward, not to the platform on the same level.
See the image above—there are two similar-looking platforms, but you must head to the higher one. Once you’re there, you’ll spot a Bouncy Mushroom.
Apply Electro to the Bouncy Mushroom, then jump on it to propel yourself upward. Immediately connect with the Four-Leaf Sigil to reach the highest platform, where you’ll finally find the rune. Apply Dendro onto the Poison Cloud Mushroom to revive it and light up the rune.
Rune #6
In front of Rune #4, apply Dendro to the Clusterleaf of Cultivation so that it spawns Four-Leaf Sigils. This time, you must follow the pathfacing leftto reach the platform pictured in the image above. You will immediately the sixth rune. Apply Dendro onto the Poison Cloud Mushroom to revive it and light up the rune.
Rune #7
Glide from the edge beside Rune #6. Head toward the blue-leaf trees, which are obscuring a lower platform circled in the image above. You must glide toward that platform.
Once you’re on the platform,apply Dendroto the Clusterleaf of Cultivation to spawn Four-Leaf Sigils. Thenfollow the pathof the Sigils to reach the platform the arrow is pointing to in the image above.
Once you’re on the new platform, jump and glide from the edge beside the Clusterleaf of Cultivation. You mustglide around the giant tree trunk in a circleuntil you see the platform with a Bouncy Mushroom, pictured above. You’ll immediately spot the final rune. Apply Dendro onto the Poison Cloud Mushroom to revive it and light up the rune.
How to claim Luxurious Chest rewards for the Apam Woods rune puzzle in Genshin Impact
Once you’re done with the jungle adventure above, you can head back to the small hut you passed by while searching for the first rune. If you forgot the way, here are the directions again. From the Teleport Waypointnorthwest of Apam Woods, turn left and glide toward the Clusterleaf of Cultivation. Follow the path of the Four-Leaf Sigils until you reach the platform circled in the image above.
Approach the runes to the left of the hut (obscured by the plants) to prompt a Luxurious Chest to spawn. If it doesn’t spawn, try relogging to debug. And if that doesn’t work, then backtrack and verify you’ve lit up all seven runes.
