While exploring the outskirts of Mawtiyima Forest, you’ll see a strange rock surrounded by runes inscribed on the grass. By solving Ghost Mushroom puzzles in three key places, you can loot three Common Chests, a Luxurious Chest, and a Dendroculus.
How to solve the Ghost Mushroom puzzles in Mawtiyima Forest, Gandha Hill, & Chatrakam Cave in Genshin Impact
To solve the rune puzzle in Mawtiyima Forest, you first need to solve three Ghost Mushroom puzzles in Mawtiyima Forest, Gandha Hill, and Chatrakam Cave. You can complete them in any order.
Mawtiyima Forest
Head to the area circled in the image above to find Pyro Slimes surrounding a Poisonous Mushroom. Defeat the Slimes and eitherwait for the grass to stop burningor extinguish the fire using a Hydro skill.
Apply Dendroonto the brown mushroom to revive it, thenapply Electroonto the revived mushroom to prompt the broken mushroom behind it to turn into a flower.Interact with the flowerto activate it, which will cause some fungi to spawn. Defeat the fungi to get a Common Chest reward.
Chatrakam Cave
Head to the area circled in the image above to find some Pyro Slimes surrounding a Bouncy Mushroom and a Ghost Mushroom. Defeat the Pyro Slimes and eitherwait for the grass to stop burningor extinguish the fire using a Hydro skill.
Once the grass has stopped burning,apply Dendroonto the brown mushroom to revive it, thenapply Electroto transform the Ghost Mushroom into a flower.Interact with the flowerto activate it and spawnFour-Leaf Sigils. Use the Four-Leaf Sigils to propel yourself to the sky and claim aDendroculus. Once that’s done, a Common Chest will spawn for you to loot.

Gandha Hill
Head to the area circled in the image above to find Pyro Slimes surrounding a safe-shifting plant. Defeat them and eitherwait for the grass to stop burningor extinguish the fire using a Hydro skill.
Thenapply Dendroonto the shape-shifting plant to reveal a Ghost Mushroom.Apply Electroonto the Ghost Mushroom to revive it, then activate it to proceed. Nothing will immediately happen, but you’ll notice three other shape-shifting plants in the area.
Apply Dendroonto the shape-shifting plant directly in front of the one housing the flower (pictured above) to reveal a Common Chest.
How to complete the Luxurious Chest puzzle south of Mawtiyima Forest in Genshin Impact
After solving all the three Ghost Mushroom puzzles in any order, head to the location circled in the image above to find the main puzzle—a rock with runes on a hill south of Mawtiyima Forest. You’ll notice that a Luxurious Chest has spawned on top of the rock, but some fungi will appear upon approaching it. Defeat them to unlock the Luxurious Chest reward.
