Genshin Impact has been experimenting with anime-style promotional videos, including theYae Miko PV,Tsubaki in Thawing Snow, andA Winter Night’s Lazzo. These have left fans eager for a Genshin Impact anime—a plea that hasn’t fallen deaf on HoYoverse’s ears. The developer announced acollaboration with Japanese anime studio ufotable, which was responsible for some of the most visually acclaimed series of their time, such as Fate: Unlimited Blade Works and Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer).
While the Genshin Impact anime project is currently in the works, HoYoverse has yet to announce specific details about what players can expect from the collaboration. It’s not the developer’s first time dealing with animation projects, as they released a two-part ONA calledCooking With Valkyriesfor Honkai Impact 3rd, produced by their in-house studio miHoYoAnime. It’s unclear whether the Genshin Impact animation will be a multi-episode series, a movie, or an ONA.
