Unknown Worlds Entertainment andBrandon Sandersonhave joined to create Moonbreaker, a digital tabletop experience with lore created by the famed author. While the in-game lore is spare, players can get snippets of lore in-game and elsewhere, like behind-the-scenes looks.
TheMoonbreakerTwitter states, “Tune into the first episode of our behind-the-scenes series, Inside the Reaches, with @BrandSanderson, best-selling author and the creator of the #Moonbreaker universe!” The teaser attached to the Tweet dives into some of the lore of Extilior, a former killer machine that has since become an honorable captain.

Sanderson details Extilior’s past and origins as an effective killing machine. While Extilior has become self-aware, he hasn’t forgotten his murderous ways but instead approaches death with a code of honor. With this code of honor, Extilior styles himself as a knight like the gray warriors of old.
Extilior is one of three captains available in the game currently, so getting to learn more about this death bot provides some context into Moonbreaker and the Reaches. We will likely see more information about the world of Moonbreaker revealed in similar outlets.
