What causes the voice bug in Phasmophobia?
There could be a few causes for the voice bug in Phasmophobia. It’s a good idea to start troubleshooting your operating system to ensure everything works properly. First, you must make sure your microphone is properly set up in Windows audio settings:

The Ouija board and Spirit box not working bug
Even if you made sure your sound settings in Windows are all set up properly, the Ouija board and Spirit box may still not be working. Players who run into these issues can hear each other in the game but can’t use the Spirit box or an Ouija board. This happens due to an in-game bug that triggers by alt-tabbing from the game.
You can see if the glitch has started to appear using the Spirit box. Push to talk and start speaking. The X symbol below the MHz should turn on. If it doesn’t, that means the glitch happened, and you won’t be able to interact with ghosts.
