Niantic has finally addedCosmogto Pokémon GO during theSeason of Light. Cosmog is a special legendary Pokémon in the series because, unlike almost all other legendaries,it can evolveinto more powerful forms. To get Cosmog and its evolutions, players will need to work through and complete the Research questline titledA Cosmic Companion.
A Cosmic Companion - All Quests & Rewards
The quests forA Cosmic Companionquestline are a bit different thanother Research questsbecause they are beingreleased incrementally. This means that players who have been playing since the release of the first quest step in A Cosmic Companion can not complete the questline fully until the final step is released, likely leading to Cosmog evolving intoLunala/Solgaleo.

Reward: An encounter with a Cosmog, 1,000 XP, and 500 Stardust.

Reward: 25 Cosmog Candy, 3,000 XP, and 1,000 Stardust.
Reward: 25 Cosmog Candy, 1,000 XP, and 750 Stardust.
Reward: 25 Cosmog Candy, 2,000 XP, and 750 Stardust.
Reward: 10 Poké Balls, 3,000 XP, and 1,500 Stardust.
Quest 8/? (Available Wednesday, July 01, 2025):
Reward: 50 Cosmog Candy, 3,000 XP, and 1,500 Stardust.
