Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE is a new detective game developed by Spike Chunsoft, the developers behind the Danganronpa franchise. The entire environment is rendered in 3D, with a story written by Kazutaka Kodaka and music by Masafumi Takada. Similar to the Danganronpa games, players will be excited to hear that a complete cast of eccentric characters uses their personalities and backstories to really bring the story to life.

Yuma, an amnesiac detective-in-training, and his partner, Shinigami the spirit, work with Master Detectives from the World Detective Organization to solve the numerous unsolved mysteries plaguing Kanai Ward, the city of rain. With their supernatural abilities, including Disguise, Audial Aptitude, and Postcognition, they gather facts and clues to crack cases.
However, they face opposition from the powerful Amaterasu Corporation, who fabricate facts and create obstacles to prevent the truth from being revealed. The investigation leads to the Mystery Labyrinth, where various gimmicks and traps challenge Yuma and Shinigami as they advance through the ever-changing maze to unravel the truth. The Mystery Phantoms try to stop them, but with the Solution Blade, Yuma and Shinigami will end the reign of mysteries in this lucid-noir detective adventure.
