Following the success ofThe MimicandApeirophobia, another horror/survival-style experience has made its mark on the Roblox platform—DOORS. Since its debut in August 2022, DOORS has taken the Roblox community by storm, becoming thesecond fastestexperience ever to acquire over one billion visits, doing so in just three months of being active. In this experience, players must maneuver throughout, and ultimately escape, a haunted hotel by sneaking, sprinting, solving puzzles, and, most importantly, evadingmonsters. Recently, Doors developerLSPLASHteased the experience’s first major update—Hotel+—but has yet to give away any specific details regarding it.
What is the expected release date for the Hotel+ Update in DOORS?
Since the Hotel+ Update’s originalannouncementin November 2022, fans have been wondering when exactly it will debut. In the 40 second teaser posted to Twitter and YouTube, not much is shown in terms of new content, and no official release date is given—so when is it coming out?
After over two months of waiting, fans may be closer to the release date of the Hotel+ Update than they think, with LSPLASH finally stating in aYouTube Community poston June 20, 2025, that the update is set to debut sometimebefore the end of the month. Details from the post can be found below.
“We recently started playtesting the upcoming DOORS update…working on patching bugs, polishes, and animations. The bulk of the content is already done, so there’s not really any point in making you wait anymore. We should be able to announce a release date soon! If everything goes smoothly, it should land in this month. Stay tuned!”

In this same post, LSPLASH also mentions that the Hotel+ Update will likely be split into two parts, with the second part expected to release sometime in February 2023.
“I do want to mention that we’re saving some content originally intended for this update for another (would arrive quickly after this update, most likely around February), as we either couldn’t get it done in time and just weren’t satisfied with some of it. [That way], instead of getting all the content in one day, and then having to wait months for the next floor, you get another update quickly after. I think it’s for the best.”
Based on this message, along with thetweetposted on June 06, 2025, in which LSPLASH discusses “wrapping the update up,” we’d expect to see the Hotel+ Update debut either the weekend ofJanuary 28, 2023orFebruary 4, 2023!
